This month, our colleague Mark McIntosh visited one of our long-standing manufacturing partners, who have recently achieved carbon-neutral status and made significant reinvestments into their R&D facilities.
This visit reinforced something we already know well. Selecting partners that prioritise sustainability is no longer optional for modern manufacturing, it is a key part of building a responsible supply chain and plays a vital role in helping us meet our own environmental targets.
Mark visited facilities entirely powered by renewable energy and saw the implementation of waste-reduction systems and greener production processes. What stood out was the clear link between sustainability and innovation. Not only this, but there was investment in R&D focused on the manufacturing of more efficient components, continuous improvement in product efficacy and reduction in overall material usage. These improvements from our sustainable partners directly benefit our customers who rely on Forge for performance, reliability and longevity.
It was a useful reminder that sustainable upgrades are not simply environmental choices. They are strategic decisions that strengthen product quality and long-term resilience.
