At Forge, we’ve always been proud of our Lake District roots, which is why we’ve chosen to locate and grow our business in Ulverston. It was fantastic to read the recent Guardian article exploring the wonders of this place we call home. It’s always pleasing to see the vibrancy and beauty of Ulverston and the wider world-famed area of the lakes shared across national platforms.
The article called Ulverston “one of the most vibrant towns in Britain”, with row after row of rainbow-painted houses”. We completely agree with this description, and we’re very appreciative that we can work in such a stunning area.
We can’t deny there’s often a sense of pressure for us to move to a city or a more urban setting. Yet we’ve always resisted, because no matter where we are located our ethos remains the same – innovative design, superior quality and outstanding service. And we have been achieving this, right here in the Lake District for the last 30 years, so there’s no reason for us to give up our spot in this beautiful area.
Our location can mean recruiting new team members can take a little longer than average. But we’re confident when we find the people who want to work with us, surrounded by the beauty and serenity of the Lake District, it won’t be long before new starters wonder why they didn’t think of us sooner.
